Health Center of Yongkang City of Tainan County

Historical evolution

1.      The Health Center of Yongkang County was established according to the Health Bureau of Counties and Cities of Taiwan Province on August 31,1949, under the jurisdiction of the Health Yuan of Tainan County of the old system. Established and used the office of the County Administration Office of Yongkang Township to handle the work, such as hygiene administration, people's health care, immunization campaign, etc. in the township at that time.

2.      Changed to be subordinate to the Health Yuan of Tainan County in October 1950, after dividing in the administrative area of counties and cities of Taiwan Province

3.      The clinic was established on March 20, the 1950, because more space was needed, on August of 1980, the clinic was moved to No.655, Jhongshan S. Rd., Yongkang City, Tinan County, borrowing the Hsiang Administration Office to handle clinic business temporarily.

4.      Changed to be subordinate to the Health Bureau of Tainan County , after dividing the administrative area of counties and cities of Taiwan Province in October, 1960.

5.      All Health Yuan of counties and cities reformed to the Health Bureau in 1960.

6.      Changed to be subordinate to Hsiang Administration Office of Yongkang in 1962, and changed again to be subordinate to the Health Bureau of Tainan in 1974.

7.      The county government set aside a government land used for municipal administration to build a three floors office building in 1989 , the total cost for the project was NT$ 10,730,000, went into operation on July of 1990, completed and launched in March of 1991.

8.      The population of Yongkang City exceeded 150,000 people in 1993, it was promoted as the county and had jurisdiction over the city.

9.      Established the Hygiene Promoted Committee in July of 1994.

10.  Start handling the National Health Insurance clinic medical treatment on March 1, 1995.

11.  Established the Health Defended Voluntary Team in July of the 1995.

12.  Established the Voluntary Workers Team of Health Center in July of 1999.

13.  Began to handle infant and pre-school children's well clinic in September of 1999, and handle adults examining in April of next year.

14.  Established the new community of Datong care network in October of 2002.
